About Klimchak
Communications
Joe Klimchak has worked in the field of communications since
1991. His deep professional experience includes web
design, writing, desktop publishing, public relations,
marketing and broadcasting.
Klimchak has been designing websites since 1997. He was
introduced to web design while working as the sports
information director at Grove City College. Klimchak created
and maintained the school's first athletic website and also
built and updated the website of the six-school Presidents'
Athletic Conference. He created his first e-commerce website
in 2002 when the George J. Howe Company commissioned him to
create a web store to promote its business and increase
revenue. Since then, he has created several other websites for
individuals and small businesses looking to add a professional
presence on the web without investing excessive time and
money.
Joe currently serves as Ballpark Host of the Pittsburgh
Pirates, emceeing pre-game ceremonies from the field and
hosting several features on the PNC Park videoboard between
innings, including "Baseball Quiz" and "Know Your Buccos".
Prior to the start of the 2006 All-Star Game played in
Pittsburgh, Joe interviewed many of the players, coaches and
returning Hall of Famers. He also introduced the live
bands during All-Star Week - O.A.R. and Big & Rich - and
hosted many of his usual in-game features.
Joe has also served as a radio play-by-play announcer since
1990, broadcasting high school football and basketball games.
Joe's wife, Jennifer, assists Klimchak Communications with the creative processes,
including writing and graphic design. She also served on the
staff of Grove City College, working nine years in the
Admissions Department.
Joe and Jennifer each graduated from Grove City College with a
bachelor of arts degree in Communications. Following his
junior year, Joe was awarded a full-tuition scholarship as the
student with the most creative potential for success in the
communications field.
The two launched a new
business site - myadoptionwebsite.com - following the adoption of
their first child from China. The site provides other adoptive parents
with a beautiful and affordable way to share their adoption story with
family and friends over the worldwide web.
